CLINTON — On Aug. 11, the Write Stuff for Kids Inc. provided school supplies and backpacks to 462 kids in the Clinton School District!
We could not meet the goal of helping every student without our awesome group of volunteers and donors.

CLINTON — Sign-up for school supplies at the DeWitt-Piatt Health Department, Community Action or the DeWitt County Housing Authority.

The check is one of many donations The Write for Kids received this year from local organizations and individuals this year.

The board of The Write Stuff for Kids Inc. offers a tremendous thank you to all the volunteers and donors who helped us complete another distribution of school supplies to more than 450 students.
Without your generous support, we could not complete this important mission every summer of making sure every child has what they need on the first day of school.

The Write Stuff for Kids Inc. will host a “Stuff the Bus” school supply collection July 24 and 25 at the Clinton Wal-Mart store.
Volunteers will be outside Wal-Mart with a Clinton school bus from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday to collect school supplies.
Write Stuff board member Kathleen Frick pointed out that “Stuff the Bus” is crucial to the campaign to make certain every child has what they need to start school.

The Write Stuff for Kids Inc. is working to collect donations to help students who need held with school supplies.
“While summer has just begun, the new school year will be here before families know it. And for many families in our community, that means finding the items their children need before they walk into a new classroom,” said Kathleen Frick, treasurer for the non-profit organization.

Exelon Nuclear and its employees have again helped DeWitt County children get school supplies.
The company, which has been a major supporter of The Write Stuff for Kids Inc. for seven years, recently donated $3,500 to the program. Employees added 22 backpacks full of supplies for third- and fourth-graders.
