Generous support for Clinton Summer Lunch Program

The Clinton Summer Lunch Program has received a $2,000 grant from Illinois Prairie Community Foundation.

The Write Stuff for Kids Inc. serves as the fiduciary agent for the summer program that provides DeWitt County youth with a safe and supervised place to go during the summer months to receive a free and nutritious lunch. The program collaborates with the DeWitt County Housing Authority to provide a location for lunch as well as with the University of Illinois Extension to provide recreational and educational activities for children to enjoy after they receive lunch.

Six Clinton High School students recently completed the Richland Community College CDL Permit class held at the high school. The collaboration between the Write Stuff, the high school and RCC represents a new project for the schools and The Write Stuff for Kids.
