Edward Jones Office Collecting School Supplies

Thanks to financial advisor Bryce Starkey (above left) and business office administrator Holly Hamm with Edward Jones for helping the Write Stuff for Kids by collecting school supplies at their office on the Clinton Square.

Supplies dropped off at the Clinton office will be part of the Aug. 6 distribution of school essentials to almost 400 Clinton and 75 students in Farmer City.

Thousands of items are needed to make sure each student starts school with the materials they need to succeed.

The Clinton Summer Lunch Program has received a $2,000 grant from Illinois Prairie Community Foundation.

The Write Stuff for Kids Inc. serves as the fiduciary agent for the summer program that provides DeWitt County youth with a safe and supervised place to go during the summer months to receive a free and nutritious lunch. The program collaborates with the DeWitt County Housing Authority to provide a location for lunch as well as with the University of Illinois Extension to provide recreational and educational activities for children to enjoy after they receive lunch.
